REDLINE Band Blog: November 2008

With their eagerly awaited record, Trapped Inside, NZ rock band Redline establishes itself as one of New Zealand's most progressive metal rock music bands. Success came quickly for the band who have already performed alongside Disturbed, P.O.D, Alter Bridge and Evanescence, played at the inaugural Metal Day Out Festival, as well as supporting Blindspott and The Bleeders.

Their video for Time After Time was also nominated for best independent music video at the 2005 Juice TV Music Awards.

Chris's Movember Moustache

In the spirit of Movember, I took a leaf out of Craig's book and crafted a mighty Hetfield moustache also, and displayed it here in all its glory!

I got the chance to donate to a few people throughout the month who were raising cash for men's prostate health, hope you were able to do the same.

If you haven't yet, there's still a few days left where you could make a small donation for Craig's Movember effort.

Update from Craig

Hey all, Craig here!

So with Rich and I being here in London town, hatching our plans for world domination, we got to thinking that it could be a spot of fun to meet up with some of our friends over here and get to know you a little bit more!

So if you're in London, and would be keen to catch up with Richard and I, send us a message at craigredline@gmail.com, and we'll see what we can put into action....

Rich and I hope to hear from you!

Take care, peeps!
Craig....

Def Leppard Auckland Concert Review

All I can say is wow, I totally loved the show!

Being a fan of 80's glam rock, Def Leppard certainly didn't disappoint and basically played a greatest hits set list.

It was 16 years ago that they last played a show in Auckland and this show was the last show of their current world tour. I knew and sang along to every song they played, most of them were from Pyromania and Hysteria, records they released in the 80's.

Big Val was there too and enjoyed it though he is really hanging out for the Iron Maiden concert happening in February next year, he is a total Maiden fiend!

Check out the NZ Herald Def Leppard concert review.

Non-official Movember support

For what it's worth, I'm not officially partaking in Movember unlike Craig who I encourage you to support and make a small donation for Craig's Movember effort.

I have however grown a furry face which has gained interesting mixed reactions!

Movember, day 3!

Hey everyone, Craig checking in again, here's day 3 of Movember! Don't forget to support my efforts and donate to the cause!

I'm gonna let my stubble grow for a few more days yet, a mo would look pretty silly at the current rate of growth! I'm thinking a handlebar, does anyone have any better suggestions? Best one wins a bottle of Coke!

And so MOVEMBER begins!

Well, here it is. I've abided by the rules of Movember and I've had to shave my goatee off. Which means November 1, 2008, is the first time in about 7 years that I've had no facial hair. I miss it!

But soon enough there'll be a mighty moustache to replace the beard! I'll update as often as I can, peoples!

Support me and donate for Movember.
