Happy Halloween from Redline!
We never ended up playing that gig because Rich got struck down with a random elbow condition which prevented him from being able to play drums for a few days!
We still ended up going to Hamilton for the party and had a great time thanks to the wonderful staff at Sabbath bar.
Check out the live video of Thriller from the Disturbed, P.O.D, Alter Bridge, Redline tour here.
Now go do something devilish and have some fun tonight!

Current band situation, concerts and Rockzilla...
I guess we truly are an international band, lol.
Hey, if members of Def Leppard can live in separate countries, so can we! I discovered that little fact when I watched the DVD to their latest record "Songs From The Sparkle Lounge".
For what it's worth, I'm real excited to be going their Auckland concert at Vector Arena on 14 Nov. They've been one of my favourite 80's bands since I first heard Hysteria and Pyromania back in the day.
Thanks to my work with Rockzilla, I've also recently seen Meshuggah and Carcass when they toured Auckland recently.
You're more than welcome to tune in every Saturday evening at 9pm and check out Rockzilla, the rock metal music tv show I host on Alt TV on Sky Digital 65 or streaming on the net at www.alttv.co.nz.
Still working on the demos, I've been a but sidetracked lately but I'll get stuck back into them soon enough. For what it's worth, the demo of Thriller sounds pretty cool!

Slipknot/Machine Head Auckland concert
I headed along to the Slipknot/Machine Head concert at Trusts Stadium in my hood, West Auckland on Wednesday night. All I can say is that it was a brilliant night of metal with both bands fully kicking some major ass!
It was Machine Head's first ever time playing in NZ and Slipknot promised it wouldn't take three and a half years to come back and play again.
Unfortunately I missed kiwi support New Way Home as they were on ridiculously early at like 6:50pm but I heard they played a great set.
The concert was publicised to start at 8pm on most websites and doors were at 6:30pm?!
I got to meet Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel briefly afterwards, great guy and an amazing guitarist.I just had to ask him about how Machine Head get there signature harmonic sound in their riffs, a real guitar geek question I know!
Both bands flew out the next day to carry on with the Australian leg of the tour.

UK update and ramblings from Craig!!
So I thought I'd write a little update now that I've been in London a little while and started to settle in to life here.
So I've been here a month now, after a whirlwind week of the Music As A Weapon tour, then flying out literally 4 days after the Christchurch show. Saying goodbye to friends and family was tough, but it was so exciting going to the other side of the world to start taking over!
Thankfully I've got a wonderful friend here who met me at Heathrow and showed me how to get back to her place. She's been an absolute legend to me! Can't thank her enough...
So I spent the first couple of weeks sleeping on a couch, and going into town trying to find work. Made me realise how sweet I had it getting my last two jobs back home, haha! After a week and a half, I went to Paris for a couple of days with a couple of mates. Did all the touristy stuff, L'Arc de triomphe, the Eiffel tower, all that rad stuff. I think the highlight for me though was the culinary delights I sampled....Escargots and frog's legs. I gotta say, it was actually kinda bland. The frog's legs were kinda like the texture of chicken and tasted kinda like fish. so it wasn't so weird.
When we came back from Paris, I resumed the job hunt in earnest, as frankly, I was starting to run out of cash! Luckily in my travels I randomly decided to pop into Hamleys toy store on Regent street, one of the raddest toy stores I've ever seen! I just handed in a cv and thought nothing would come of it, but when I got home that day, my cellphone rang and it was Hamleys wanting me to come into an interview. Sweet!
So I got the job, and luckily now I've moved into my friends flat! So I'm pretty sorted now, just settling into routine, starting to spread the word about Redline, and soaking up the vibe. It's such a different vibe here, everyone's rushing around, and lots of people are just downright rude. But it's definitely got a strong live scene, and pretty much every night there's a good gig on. So far I've been trying to save my cash until I get paid (!) but the other night Richard and I went to Taste Of Chaos, with Atreyu, As I Lay Dying and Story Of The Year. No way was I missing that! Story Of The Year were amazing! I hadn't seen them live yet, but everything I'd heard was that they just kicked ass. And ass they did kick. Afterwards all Rich and I wanted to do was go play shows! As I Lay Dying were tight, but to be honest I personally would have preferred a bit of melody from them. It's not often I can listen to a band that's just all-out metal metal. But they were a good live act. Jordan, their drummer, was intense to watch.
Atreyu were absolutely amazing. I saw them earlier this year with Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet For My Valentine, but this time they were headlining, so they were way, way better! I was so juiced up after watching that show, now I can't wait to start playing shows over here. Which we will hopefully start doing soon!
So there we go, there's a rather lengthy update from me. I've got some photos that I'll get put up soon, some random touristy stuff, but you'll get updates anyways!
Chur to the chur!

There will be a couple more videos going up over the next few days.
If I get the time, I may see if I can compile together a small tour documentary video.
I'm also planning on putting the interviews I did for Rockzilla with Disturbed and P.O.D. up here at some stage.

Party At Your Place?
Then I thought... what about if we take the time to visit and hang out with a few of you at your place, would that be a great idea?
You could organise a party with a few mates, Nick and I could turn up, maybe bring some acoustic guitars, bash out a song or two and then we could all just have a lot of fun hanging out.
Leave a comment if you like the idea and I'll look into it further!

Back In UK
As Chris said before, the day i got back to the UK my girlfriend surprised me with a weeks holiday in Ibiza which was absolutely wicked!! Especially because i had 3 of my good friends from school there also. And yes i finally did it after being together with my girlfriend for nearly 7 years, i proposed while we were in Ibiza. So its kinda weird now saying i have a fiance rather than girlfriend.
Other than that Craig and i are on the mission of spreading the word about Redline, i have with me heaps of promo cd's which i have been handing out to various people, and i've been getting some good feedback so far. So we'll continue doing that for a lil bit longer and then try and org some sort of tour here. Once we do we'll be sure to let you all know.
Over and out for now.
Rich
Update: Craig and Rich in the UK
He said he checked out Denmark St which is a huge musical instrument store and has been taking a few photos around the place so hopefully he'll share a few sometime soon.
I think he is being the right tourist at the moment!
Rich returned back to the UK, he actually moved over there in May of this year but we flew him back to do the Disturbed, P.O.D. and Alter Bridge tour.
His girlfriend surprised him when he got back with a week long trip to Ibiza and he surprised her by proposing to her on that trip to Ibiza!

Craig with David Draiman (Disturbed)
It's quite rare to see David out drinking which is why I dig this picture.
